"Seafarer Sailing" - Mary Orphanou Co Ltd was established in September 1985 by Mary Orphanou (G.N.T.O Licence No: 00003 as Yacht Broker).
Prior to Company's foundation Mary's Orphanou professional background lies to the Management of Chartering Department for the MOODY & the BENETEAU Yachts Representatives in Greece at that time. During that period she maintained an excellent relationship with private yacht owners that had as prime objective to provide professional friendly service and quality yachts to her clients.
In the course of years she gained reputation and expertise to be able to found Seafarer Sailing, and offer Sailing holidays in the Greek Islands. From the outset her aim was to provide excellent service, high quality yachts and good value for money.
Together with her son, George, joining the Company in 1991, after completing business studies at the Greek University; Seafarer Sailing became a very much family Company, expanding the scope of its activities in the Yacht Charter industry and yacht ownership.
In the port of Pythagorion on the Island of SAMOS, Seafarer Sailing operates its own base with an increasing number of owned yachts today consisted of 6 BAVARIA newly built yachts (2 X 38ft & 1x 39 (2006) & 2 X 42ft, 1X 46 ft ), 1 OCEAN STAR 51.2 and 1 LAGOON 380 (2007).
Base manager Achilleas Tsiamis, who began his sailing career 22 years ago, sailed extensively the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and crossed the Atlantic once.
Today Achilleas is a well-experienced sailing yacht captain in Greece.
At SAMOS Base other exclusively managed yachts are offered depending on the needs of the clients each and every season.
From KOS Island Seafarer Sailing operates, exclusively, a second fleet of yachts ranging from 37 to 50 feet, all newly built and very well maintained by a team of professionals.
In 2002 Seafarer Sailing, to complement its activity as yacht charter and manager of yachts, established a branch office (which is directed and controlled by our headquarters in Athens) inside the newly structured marina of KOS for professional yacht support services in the Dodekanese area.
The supporting network is also worth mentioning. Over the years Mary developed key relationships throughout the Greek Islands, so that today as a Seafarer Sailing client can also expect service in Syros, Rhodes, Skiathos, Corfu & Lefkas respectively.
It should also be well noted that Mary Orphanou has been the General Secretary of H.Y.B.A. (Hellenic Yacht Brokers Association) for the last 14 years.
Seafarer's clientele
Till today, Seafarer Sailing welcomes 2500-3000 people per year for their sailing vacation in Greece.
Although the majority of our clients comes from Europe, an increasing number of people sailing with us are from Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America.
Seafarer Sailing has recently concluded representational agreement with HI - Tours in Montreal - Quebec, which has a national network of Travel Agents to promote the product in Canada.

- Bareboat Yacht Charter
For the experienced sailors with their own crew. Seafarer Sailing can organize bareboat charters commencing in either Athens, Samos , Kos or any Base requested with deliveries in either direction. Our fleet includes established sailboat models from Beneteau, Jeanneau and Bavaria boat builders. - Crewed Yacht Charter
For those who prefer a more luxury type of cruising, a large selection of top quality Motor Cruisers and MEGA yachts, Motor Sailers and Sailing Yachts is available with professional and discrete crew, who takes care of all the navigation and entertainment needs.
These yachts are fully equipped with all modern luxuries, such as air condition, color TV and video, stereo hi-fi systems and packed with a lot of water toys, such as jet ski, wind surf, water skiing, snorkeling equipment and much more.
Aboard a yacht of this type there is nothing else to do, but relax on the sundecks or in her spacious and comfortable saloons, enjoying the meals and drinks watching the magnificent view that only the Greek Islands can offer.
For any requested Crewed yachts there are respective Internet Sites where you and your clients can have a look of Yachts' appearance, luxurious exterior - interior design, deco as well as layouts, specifications and equipment of these Yachts.
